Overview
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. Civil engineering is the second-oldest engineering discipline after military engineering, and it is defined to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering.
Civil engineering is divided into several sub-disciplines such as architectural, structural, environmental, geotechnical, transportation, and construction engineering. It operates in both the public sector from local to national governments and the private sector, serving clients from individual homeowners to large international companies.
Vision
The Civil Engineering Department impart quality education to up bring technical manpower in the field of civil engineering with the capabilities to take challenges of upcoming technologies.
