Anti-Ragging Committee
Overview
As per the orders issued by Supreme Court of India to curb the menace of ragging in educational institutions, an Anti-Ragging Committee has been framed for "The Kavery Polytechnic College" with effect from 12th August, 2025.
It is resolved that the following members are appointed as the members of the Anti-Ragging Committee for the Academic Year 2025-26. The Anti-Ragging Committee shall monitor the Anti-ragging activities in the institution; as per the recommendations of the Anti-ragging squad punishments will be awarded to the students who indulged in ragging activities.
Objectives
- Creating a Ragging-Free Campus: Establishing an atmosphere where students can study without fear, intimidation, or harassment, both inside and outside the campus.
- Preventive Surveillance: Monitoring, inspecting, and supervising potential hotspots (canteens, hostels, playgrounds, parking areas) to prevent the occurrence of ragging.
- Awareness and Education: Promoting awareness through campaigns (posters, workshops, seminars) regarding the severe, negative impact of ragging and the penalties involved.
- Prompt Disciplinary Action: Taking swift and strict action, in accordance with legal regulations and UGC guidelines, against those involved in any form of ragging.
- Victim Support and Redressal: Providing a confidential, safe mechanism for victims to report incidents and offering support, including counseling, to victims.
- Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring compliance with anti-ragging laws and guiding the Anti-Ragging Squad in its operational.
